Minister Damien English's visit to LEO Mayo

Minister of State for Business, Employment and Retail, Damien English TD, visited the Mayo Local Enterprise Office (LEO) yesterday where he met with council officials and members of the LEO team as well as some of their client companies.

The Minister was greeted at Mayo House by Leas Cathaoirleach, Cllr Michael Kilcoyne and Mayo Chief Executive, Kevin Kelly who were joined by Deputies Alan Dillon and Michael Ring.

Minister English then heard from LEO Head of Enterprise, John Magee and Director of Services, Joanne Grehan about the LEO activity in the county and was briefed on their priorities and future plans before meeting with members of the LEO team, the Evaluation Committee and Local Authority members.

The Minister then travelled to Bridge Lane where he met with goldsmith and LEO client, Nigel O’Reilly. Nigel’s jewellery is crafted in his studio and he specialises in diamond engagement rings and bespoke jewellery using large, coloured gemstones, primarily signature rings.

Minister English concluded his visit at the Pete Callaghan Centre in Westport where he met Brendan Maloney of Skillko Ltd, a resource training management and safety compliance company.
